Stucco Defects, Problems and Solutions

Improperly formulated Stucco (too much portland, not enough lime) or improper application (over sanding, poor application conditions, substandard construction) can create costly and unsightly problems. Identifying the TRUE cause of the stucco defect is the only way to find the proper solution.

  • crumbling, soft, loose 
  • efflorescence (pH imbalance that causes white colored chalking)

Climate, substrate conditions, water permeability - MANY factors contribute to this complicated issue. Some products could actually exacerbate your current problem AND cause further damage from mold.
